Conceptual Song Created in The City of London in 1988.

Everything started with a beat  based on  "Justify my Love"  - "Madonna", from there, with  Mo's Guitars , ("Mo", is an excellent musician with whom Carlos Ruivo was working with at the time) , Carlos created the melody with the fado/flamenco feel that caracterizes it.

Already in Portugal, Carlos Ruivo with an "Yamaha MT 100" 4 tracks, conceived the minimalist bass, added to it some strong guitars, played by Mário Nunes, composed the middle eight, the Lyrics, a "house" piano, some strings, the backing vocals sung by the unique Luís Plácido (RIP) and the song was ready to be shown.

At the time the song has circled among very influent people in he musical area and everybody was unnanimous saying it sounded great, but it was too early for the concept to arise.

Nowadays The  music/concept no longer provoques the same schock, but there is still a different ambience that makes this song unique.

On this last recording, the producer, "Nelson Canoa" caught the initial concept and in his first contact with the brand new "Pro Tools", has slightly altered the bassline, added an additional  loop, wich he distorted a bit, and made a very good edition and positionment of all the guitars. Mauro's drums have been altered to what we listen, something that altough different from the initial idea, has got a strength and effectiveness absolutely fantastic. One year of work, with sessions made depending on each others availability and the final result is here for everybody to listen. 

We reccomend the audition with the volume quite loud

Músic Composed at the "Pousada de Juventude" of  Areia Branca's Beach (Lourinhã, Lisbon, Portugal) in 1984.

A Song that lives through the junction of a very unnusual harmonic progression and a very soft melody.

this song was innitially sung in english, but as it usually hapens with the most of Carlos Ruivo's tunes, when the inspiration arrived he wrote some strong and well structured lyrics in Portuguese. This song's theme is the Planet's degradation in ecological and ambiental terms. Love is essential. The song has been written in 1987, the lyrics date from 1990.

This song has been chosen to be recorded and released at the same time as "Alado", because everybody thought it woulden´t divide the airplay at radios, but the opposite happenned in some radios.

Song written at the year of 1989  at the 2-B of Inglewood Mansions in West End Lane,  West Hampstead,- London.

 This tune is one of the rare one's Carlos has written at the piano, in opposition to the usual guitar. The song has been written in less than 10 minutes and it is dedicated to those who don´t believe in Inspiration.

Back to Portugal, Carlos showed the song to his fellow musician and top producer "Nelson Canoa", that has never forgot it and when the right moment came, the Final of the Television contest "Reis do Estúdio", and the band "Bardos" needed another song to play, he sugested it. This song has come to the open by mere coincidence, because if Nelson Canoa didn't sugest it, it would be by now still waiting stuck in a drawer with hundreds of other songs.

The Lyrics have been written before the final rehersal for the TV show.
